A month of growth, great matches, and strong team spirit
It has been a busy and exciting few weeks for West Cork Volleyball Club across all age groups. Our teams have been travelling, competing, learning, and showing fantastic determination in the National League. Here’s a look back at our recent matches and how our players performed.
🌟 Ladies National League – November 1st
Phoenix Killarney VC vs West Cork VC
📍 Killarney
📊 Result: 3–0 (Phoenix Killarney)
Our ladies team opened the month with a tough away match against Phoenix Killarney VC. Although the final score was 3–0, it was a great match with competitive rallies and strong team effort throughout.
The game gave us a clear picture of the areas we need to strengthen. Every match is part of the journey, and this one will help us grow even more.
U16 Girls – November 9th
West Cork VC vs Impact Macroom
📍 Macroom
📊 Result: 2–0 (West Cork VC)
Our U16 girls played brilliantly against Impact Macroom, securing a confident 2–0 win. The team showed great improvement, teamwork, and focus.
We were delighted with their performance. It was a valuable opportunity for the girls to test their skills under pressure, and they showed just how much they’ve grown this season.
U18 Girls – November 16th
Medusa VC (Dungarvan) vs West Cork VC
📍 Dungarvan
📊 Result: 3–1 (West Cork VC)
Our U18 team travelled to Dungarvan last Saturday to take on Medusa VC. After losing the first set, the girls regrouped, pushed hard, and came back stronger than ever — winning the next three sets in a row.
It was an exceptional display of determination, hard work, and team spirit. Matches like this show the potential and strength of our developing players.
