West Cork Volleyball Club

What started as a simple idea in June of last year — just a few of us playing volleyball in the local playground — has quickly grown into something truly special.

We invited friends, families, and members of the community to come join in the fun, and little by little, the word began to spread. In September, we officially started training sessions in Dunmanway Community Sports Hall, and from that moment, West Cork Volleyball Club was born.

Since then, our club has grown in both numbers and skill. We’ve welcomed players of all ages — from excited 7-year-olds to teens ready to take on competitive play, and even adults just discovering their love for the sport. It’s been incredible to see how quickly everyone has improved, and more importantly, how much joy and connection this club has brought to our community.

We’re always open to new members and would especially love to welcome more boys, so we can start building our first boys’ team alongside our growing girls’ squads.
